He then joined the Neighborhood Task Force – Street Crimes Unit and later transferred to the South Investigations Division – Fugitive Apprehension Unit. His final tour of duty was in the Criminal Investigation Bureau – Special Investigations Division.

Officer Irvine began his service with the Milwaukee Police Department at the age of 19 and became a police officer at the age of 21. He died on June 7, 2018, as a result of a crash in his squad car on Milwaukee's Northwest Side. We mourn with the families of both men.
