MPD shares trick or treat safety tips
As originally published by Mario Grenyo for WISN.
The Milwaukee Police Department is committed to making trick-or-treating safe for families this year and every year.
On Friday, Sergeant Efrain Cornejo appeared on 12 News at 11 to share valuable safety tips, including:
- Parents and kids should agree on a planned route and set a time to meet back up.
- Using face paint instead of masks is recommended, as masks can block children’s vision, making it harder for them to stay aware of their surroundings.
- Parents should check their children’s candy to ensure it hasn’t been tampered with.
