Heather Hecimovich Hough has served the Milwaukee Police Department as Chief of Staff since 2023. She oversees the Public Information Office (PIO), the Office of Management, Analysis and Planning (OMAP), the Compliance Management Section, and Community Engagement. In addition, she is the department’s intergovernmental liaison with local and state partners and agencies.

Heather previously served MPD as the Police Risk Manager in 2022. Prior to that, she represented the Milwaukee Police Department as an assistant city attorney and served as the city-wide Community Partnership Unit Coordinator for the City Attorney’s Office, overseeing and prosecuting nuisance litigation and abatement actions. As an assistant city attorney, Heather also represented MPD in federal litigation, state civil litigation, and served as compliance counsel for the Collins Settlement Agreement. She is a U.S. Navy veteran (Machinist’s Mate Petty Officer Third Class) and received her undergraduate and law degrees (cum laude) from Marquette University.

Heather has been a long-time volunteer for the MKE Urban Stables.
